Welcome Message from the Conference Chair

Dear colleagues,

We are thrilled to extend an invitation to you for the upcoming 23rd Thai Medical Education Conference (TMEC) in 2024, proudly presented in partnership with the ASEAN Medical School Network. This year, TMEC 2024 will be a ground-breaking event as it will be held as an on-site international conference with the majority of sessions conducted in English and a few Thai-spoken sessions taking place concurrently.

In the current world of education, outcome-based education has become the norm, aimed at ensuring each student reaches their full potential and becomes a highly competent healthcare professional. With the goal of shaping the future of medical education and empowering students to be agents of change for a healthier world, the conference theme, "Personalizing Medical Education for a Healthier World," has been carefully selected.

Featuring insightful topics such as integrated health systems science in medical education, programmatic assessment, technology-enhanced personalized learning, student engagement, faculty development in the VUCA era, and student research, this conference will provide medical teachers, physicians, healthcare professionals, medical students, and educationalists with a platform to present their research through Posters or oral presentations. Additionally, we are honored to host distinguished international medical educators who will share their expertise and experiences.

Our goal for this conference is to offer practical and context-specific tips and a pragmatic approach, while also exploring the theory behind effective practices. Furthermore, we aim to foster scholarships, research, and education in the healthcare industry, as well as facilitate cross-national networking.

On behalf of the organizing committee and the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital at Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand, it is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 23rd TMEC from Sunday, February 4th to Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 at the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre CentralWorld, Bangkok, Thailand.

We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all delegates, honorable speakers, and sponsors for their contributions, which have made this event possible and will play a pivotal role in transforming medical education for a healthier future. We cannot wait to welcome you in person and be a part of this exciting journey together.

Best regards,

Professor Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., FRCP, FACP
